Dr. Terry Sorenson grew up in South Jordan, Utah. He is the second of eight children. He attended Weber State University, majoring in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Business Administration. He graduated from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 1997. Enjoying the challenge to be proficient at all aspects of General Dentistry, Dr. Sorenson loved taking care of the wide range of needs of all his patients, from age 1 to 100 plus.
However, after 12 years into his career, he found a focused fulfillment with the children of his practice. He received additional training in sedation and behavior management, including those with special needs. He felt that if he could make a measurable difference in their dental pathway by minimizing unpleasantries, educating them on principles of prevention, and doing it all with a significant degree of empathy, he could be a part of changing a whole generation that would practice prevention throughout their lives. “That is what fills my bucket! I simply put one of my Eight children in the shoes of my patient, from what I suggest for treatment, to the procedure, and to the follow up care. Love what I do!”
Dr. Sorenson is a member of the American Dental Association, the Utah Dental Association, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
